Raised on the Palos Verdes Peninsula in Southern California. Graduated 1969 from Rolling Hills High School. My family was involved in raising and training horses of all types for use in horse shows including Hunters, Jumpers, Western Pleasure, and trail. Member Rolling Hills Pony Club and was a member of medal-winning Pony Club Rally Teams. Member Palos Verdes Peninsula 4-H club and winner of Judging Day competitions. Junior Leader and later Leader of the Horse Project until 1970.

 

Started giving lessons and professionally training horses in 1964.  Trained winners and champions at all major horse shows in California, Arizona and Nevada. Trained many year end champions for the Pacific Horse Shows Association, United States Equestrian Federation (formerly American Horse Shows Association), Orange County Horse Shows Association and Los Angeles County Horse Shows

 

Named Leading Jumper Rider at the California National Horse Show at the Great Western Forum in 1993.

 

 

Two-time winner of GTE High Jump and 4 time Reserve Champion.

 

Winner of Gran Premio de Mexico in 1993

 

Competed at Club Hipico La Silla Invitational Horse Show in Monterrey, Mexico in 2001.

 

Trainer of International Grand Prix winner and professional trainer Mandy Porter (no relation).

 

Started “Horses for Parks” donation branch of National Park Trust (www.parktrust.org) in 2002 and have raised in excess of $450,000 for the nonprofit organization.

 

Have purchased, sold and brokered the sale of hundreds of horses at all levels. Association.
